Dislaimer: The usual, DC Comics owns all rights to Batman and any other related charecters. This was written for fun and I wont make any money from it. I, however, own this poem. It's an original that I wrote in 1990 for an assingment for my Honors English Lit class in high school.

Author's notes: The class assingment was to read "Beowulf" and to write a poem in that style on the heroe of our choice. Being into comic books since '87, I chose to base mine on Batman. Batman being my favorite comic book charecter, evern before my older brother bought me my first comic book

Batman

In the dark of night dwells the Dark-Knight-
Detective who patrols the perilous streets
Of Gotham where the greedy and the gracious live.
Years before when but a mere boy
His parents were killed before his very eyes.
He vowed vengeane on the violent murder.
For years, the Dark-Knight trained his body and mind.
At the peak of perfection, Batman was known
Stricking fear in society's outcasts.
The Detective watched over the city as
A tiger gaurding its helpless cubs,
Keeping them safe from evil and harm.
